What’s all the bark about?

RVA Muttropolis isn’t just a blog about dogs.  It’s the seed and platform for an advocacy alliance of local organizations, businesses, and individuals that are committed to making Richmond one of the most dog-friendly cities in the United States.  This is a grassroots initiative to marry two things that I have found Richmonders love: pups and economic development.

The mission:  To promote the economic and quality of life benefits of a dog-friendly urban community to garner public and private support in adopting dog-welcoming work, life, and city-styles.

  1. What a great site! Richmond is a great city for dog-lovers so I know you’ll have quite a few followers.

  2. I wanted to send you an idea for a product review but don’t see an e-mail adress. The product is our H2FidO portable pooch hydrator, you can see it here, http://www.modgy.com . If interested we can send you a sample to review.

  3. I met Beth from Wag-in-the-Box at the Fetch-A-Cure Mutt Strutt yesterday, and she told me about your website. I’m a yellow lab who lives in Richmond, VA, and I blog about my adventures, most of which occur in RVA. I think RVA is a GREAT place for dogs, because we have such wonderful parks for hiking and there are all types of doggie events and activities. We support your mission 100%, so let us know if there’s anything we can do to help promote it on our blog. We are very active with the local Dog Scout troop, and we spend LOTS of time hiking in the James River Park System, so my mom would be happy to write a guest blog post about dog-friendly hikes & other activities in RVA. We love to encourage other dog moms & dads to get out and do more fun things with their dogs! And we’d really love to see more dog-friendly restaurants and other businesses in RVA. We’ve traveled to some super-dog-friendly places and that has made us realize that being dog-friendly is not only good for us, it also makes economic sense for the business!

  4. Hi! We live in Richmond too, and found out about your blog from Garth Riley. Let me tell you, if he likes it, we like it. we blog too, but our Mom is old, so our blog is not as much fun as Garth’s!
